As always, the safety of our patients, their families, and our staff is of paramount importance to us, particularly during the current Covid-19 pandemic. We have made modifications to our administrative and clinical procedures as well as our office space to promote a safe environment.
When possible, patients are asked to check-in from the parking lot and wait to enter until we can seat them in a clinical operatory. Our staff will take the temperature of all individuals who enter the clinical treatment area and will ask a series of health screening questions. If you have a fever, are exhibiting symptoms of respiratory illness, or have had contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, you may be a risk to other patients or staff members – we ask that you do not enter our office and we would be more than happy to reschedule your appointment. We require that all individuals wear a face covering while in our office. The waiting room is arranged for social distancing for those parents who wish to accompany their child into the office rather than wait in the parking lot. Further, patients will be dismissed out alternate exit doors rather than leaving through the waiting room.
Our staff members continue to adhere to strict infection control procedures and diligently clean each operatory and all the appropriate equipment therein between each patient. We utilize the necessary Personal Protective Equipment to protect our staff and our patients. This includes but is not limited to N95 masks, face shields, and outer garment coverings, when appropriate.
Our office space has been updated to include a plexiglass barrier at the front desk and we have installed several Surgically Clean Air Jade Air Purifiers in the clinical treatment area as well as the waiting room.
We request that all patients brush their teeth prior to their appointment as we have closed our toothbrushing stations.
We would like to thank our patients, their families, and our staff for their tremendous collective efforts to maintain a safe environment that allows us to continue your orthodontic care!
Annually, our office makes a voluntary commitment to meet or exceed standard safety protocols by commissioning an independent audit of our practice by MedSafe. Please reference the certificate below.
